So, Nolan has decided to reach a bunch of milestones all at once. Today he has started to crawl, push himself backwards into a sitting position (only would do it in his crib before), and pull himself onto his knees using the corner of the coffee table. Yikes! We will have to keep a close eye on him. He loves to get into things he’s not supposed to, especially big brother’s toys.
Nolan is starting to interact with us a lot more. If he doesn’t like something, he yells. If he wants your attention, he yells. He has also been clicking his tongue, which is cute. And yesterday I was bouncing him around on my lap and singing. When I stopped he started bouncing and would “sing”. We’ve been trying to teach him “up”. He knows what it means and will put his arms out to be picked up. He goes back and forth with his sleep habits but it’s gotten better.
I can’t believe our big boy is now 4! It’s amazing how fast they grow and change. He is becoming so much more a little boy and no where near a baby. This Saturday is his party with a Shrek theme. We are having friends over for a BBQ. Very low key and simple. Patrick is so excited to be 4 now!
We went to Cincinnati this past week. Erin had some work training so we tagged along. It was nice that we got to meet some online friends. Patrick had a great time at the Aquarium, especially playing with his new friend, Ellie. We also enjoyed the hotel indoor pool and got a couple of good meals. All of us sharing a hotel room was not so good, though! I think it will be easier if Nolan ever learns to stay asleep. Next Page » |
