6 months! March 8, 2007

Where has the time gone? I can’t believe Nolan is 6 months old already. He’s now wearing 9-12 month clothes and size 4 diapers. He grabs his toes and can roll across the room, but only in one direction. He smiles and laughs a lot and is starting to sleep a bit better. He was doing raspberries for awhile but doesn’t any more. And big brother Patrick is still his favorite person!

We had the 6 month checkup today and his head is in the 90th percentile, he weighs 19pds, 2oz (75th percentile) and is 26 inches (50th percentile). He is such a big boy. Next week we are having food allergy testing done because he seems to have trouble digesting solids. He also has pretty bad exzema on his neck. But other than being a little low on iron he is a healthy, growing boy.

4 month checkup January 4, 2007

Nolan’s in the same percentiles as last time. His head is in the 75 percentile. His weight is 90 percentile at 17pds, 8oz and his length is in the 25 percentile at 24 1/4 inches. I was a little surprised about the length because he seems average to me. He is now wearing 6-9 month clothes and wearing a size 3 diaper!

Poor guy got his shots and was not happy about it at all but quickly calmed down when I picked him up and fell asleep on the way home. He doesn’t have to go back until 6 months.

Merry Christmas! December 25, 2006

Merry Christmas!!! Wow, Patrick had a really good time. He thought opening all the presents was very cool and even said so. He got lots of Matchbox cars, Playdoh, a doctor’s kit, a mini train/track, crayons, underwear and socks, and a couple of the cars from the movie Cars. I got a nice watch from the boys and a GC from Erin so that I can get some much needed new clothes. The boys and I got Erin clothes. Instead of making a big dinner, we grilled chicken apple sausages on the grill. It was nice and quiet.

UT Study December 20, 2006

Today was the last day of a study we did with the University of TN for infant development. They were studying reaching patterns in 3 month olds. It was very cool. At the beginning Nolan was not interested in the toy at all. He would just sit and smile/stare at Josh, the guy conducting the study. But after a few days he became more interested in the toys and can now look and reach for them. It’s amazing how much babies change in just a short time.
